HALF DAY TOURS
PRICE LIST
This price list is in Euro and is valid from October 2022 until the end of March 2023.
Half day tours generally begin at 8:30 am and end at noon depending on which tour you choose.
You may combine two half day tours to make a full day tour. A 10% discount on each tour price will be given when combining tours.
It is recommended to dress appropriately as needed (long sleeves and hats if needed) and remember your sunscreen.
Banjul City and Albert market
Tour of the lively, colorful Capital with a visit to Gambia's second largest colorful market. Here is everything the heart desires. We'll drop by the National Museum and other sights, ending with lunch at a local restaurant.

Crocodile Pool and Monkey Park
You will be picked up at your hotel and brought to the local Monkey Park where you can feed the monkeys and observe them in close quarters. The red columbus and green monkeys are mischievous and playful with their antics. From there we will drive to the crocodile pool where we start at the museum that focuses on Gambian History specifically in that area of Bakau. This trip is a half day and can be combined with other trips.

Gambian Cooking Class
The day starts with the purchase of fresh ingredients at the local market. Discover new foods and flavors like domoda, local juices and sweet green tea. You will then return to their homes and prepare a full Gambian meal with the help of local women. Enjoy the fruits of your labor and eat your delicious meal together. There is nothing more authentic than sharing food and culture together over a meal.

Serrekunda Market and School Visit
Mix with the locals and visit the largest market in the country. You can jump into the lively commerce of hundreds of vendors making their daily living with goods from all over the country. The vast warrens of stalls is an experience not to be missed. From there we will tour a local primary school to witness what our education system is like. There you can chat with the students and teachers about their experience of primary education in the Gambia.

Abuko Nature Reserve and Animal Market
We will travel to the town of Abuko and enjoy a half day at a nature reserve that includes many avian and mammalian species that have been conserved for posterity. This is a wonderful chance to see nature close at hand without traveling deep into the country. For those that are interested in apiaries, there is a demonstration hive of African bees at this reserve. After the reserve, we can stop by the thriving animal market where Gambians go to buy goats and sheep. Whole animals are often bought by locals specifically for celebrations and holidays.

Reptile Farm and Fish Market
You will travel to the south end of the country that borders with the Casamance Region in Senegal. We will visit the reptile farm that hosts a variety of snakes that you can handle and learn more about. We then will drive to the banks of the river and look over into Senegal. As we return, we will stop by the fish market in Tanjie. This is where the fishermen bring in their catch of the day to the women at the market who sell them. A new and somewhat odiferous experience will be had by all.
